WHY SO CHEAP??
This is a very reluctant sale of one of the very best and most iconic muscle cars we have had (and thats saying alot!). Totally genuine, super healthy engine, solid rust free car in great condition in every way. Has import papers and little to do for rego. Photos and videos all current.
NO issues or bad history or any other reason its so cheap. I was very lucky to buy it off the owner who had it for 30 years who was not very up with the current prices and obviously bought it himself for a lot less 30years ago so was happy to sell it to me at a good price. He was also in a very small outback town in the USA so that helped us grab such a good car at a good price.

They were a block buster. For the first time the corvette was a sellout success and couldn't supply cars quick enough for demand. They have since become the most desireable of all corvettes.
Their performance goal had the greatest emphasis—focusing on horsepower and second to none roadholding.
The ultimate was the Grand Sport. It is universally recognized as the most valuable and most collectable corvette of all time. This full competition version idolised in the 60’s featured in such movies as Fast and Furious.
C2 stingrays are incredibly desirable and iconic, and as such have been owned by celebrities such as Steve McQueen, James Gardiner, Bruce Springsteen, Rick Springfield, Bruce Willis, Robert Downey Jr, Jay Leno, Cindy Crawford to name a few.
The C2 stingray featured in movies including White Sands driven by William Dafo; Conair; 2009 Star trek and Stingray.
1965 was the first year of 4 wheel disc brakes and the vertical exhaust vents in the front fenders replaced the previous non functional fender vents. A dual master cylinder with separate fluid reservoirs was also upgrade of 1965. The spectacular side exhaust system and spinner rims first appeared in 1965 as an option.

Our mechanic has gone over this car and absolutely loved it. He has attended to the main item he found needed work which was a full overhaul of the brakes, including replacing with steel brake lines and fittings.(Receipts available for work done).
Belts appear new. Previous owner had recently put in new springs.

Close up there are the odd small imperfections etc so it is not a show car but still looks superb a couple metres away and makes an amazing impression as an daily driver or club car.

*Striking original dash gauges with chrome trim, all in incredible condition, only one small one has a fine crack through glass.
*Original wooden steering wheel with chrome neck to steering column.
*Exceptional leather seats with exquisite chrome piping trim seats. Very comfortable and mostly in great condition, both seats have a few thin cracks (some with basic repair) and the centre seat pad base of each seat has basic neat repair.

HISTORY
This classic was one of our select few we have imported for ourselves. Hence we have discussed the history of the car directly with the previous owner who owned the car as his beloved classic that was regularly driven and maintained for the past 30 years. He prided keeping its original condition in that time.
REGISTRATION
Just the usual roadworthy certificate is needed for registration (and import papers which are provided with the car). Little to do for rego that I am aware of, only the usual headlights (and possibly seatbelts) to be changed to Aust standard ones and the horn, washer water and the wheels. The rubbers etc may need doing for rwc but it does drive and handle great as it is.

Its not just incredible to look at, its awesome high compression engine and great handling makes it absolutely brilliant fun to drive.
